Day 3: My Views on Drugs and Drinking

As far as drinking goes, I've been drinking since I was 13 thanks to my daddy who liked to piss my mom off. My dad has always had the views that drinking isn't terrible at all. He said just watch the limits and how often. I have a VERY high tolerance for intake. I never drink and drive. I have slept in a trunk before because of that. My dad even threatened to move our family to a different country that will allow children to drink as long as they are in their parents house. So yeah my dad is like my favorite drinking buddy which is weird but not weird because I know he wants me to enjoy life.

I do drink wine probably 6 out 7 days a week. And I have the rest at least once a week sometimes twice.

I've only had 6 real drunk nights. I even know the perfect cures to hangovers.

I hate smoking with passion. However, on the subject of tobacco. I do dip. Not all the time. Actually I can tell you exactly how many days out of the year that I dip. And that number is 18, I'll say 20 is the maximum. Of those 18, 15 of those are football games. It calms my nerves. Do I agree with dipping every day? No. Not at all. I've seen what cancer does to someone.

I have never tried weed or any drug and I don't plan on it. Ever read the tiny print of side effects of the prescription your doctor gave you? Yeah you could have more problems than you began with. I do agree for the people who are really sick need the medicine. As for those of use who have a common headache, there are ways around it without picking up a plastic bottle with pills inside it. God intended birth to hurt, bare the pain of childbirth, sorry that's why I want a natural childbirth. You don't have to agree with me.

Challenge Day 1: My Relationship

My relationship status: Engaged

It feels strange saying that. I waited 22 years before having a real boyfriend. Of course, my first one I would rather not talk about (again.) Let's just say that there is a quote that says "You should pay attention to how your boyfriend treats his ex because one day you might be her." And that is a very valuable piece of advice I may add. Another piece of advice that came to me late was "Be careful who you date. A lot of people aren't looking for love they are looking for help." When asked what that meant I was informed that a lot of people are either trying to make themselves look better or they are trying to get someone to help them fix themselves. My grandmother has always said, "Only two people can and need fix your life; yourself and God." How true she is because nobody else really can stop the pain.

However, I managed to find a very special person that returned to my life. I've written about him before on my blog. You can find it here

Our relationship of knowing each other began while in college. I would go to see my best friend and his quirky roommate was always around. I always got the impression his roommate liked me but I was always told no and that it was nonsense.

Flash forward to November 2013... My friend +Genevieve said that her cousin in-law would love to go to Disney World and she knew I had two vacant places in my villa. I was informed it was the quirky roommate from Vandy, who I had danced with, sang with, and spilled my heart to when I was in college. I, of course, said he could stay with us and he thanked me on Facebook and quite honestly, the rest is history.

We spent Thanksgiving together, we watched Frozen together (which was our first date), we spent Disney World together, Christmas together, New Years together, we took a trip to London together, and he propose to me in January during Alabama's blizzard season. He said it was the start of our "Frozen" journey.

Vin really has changed my life and not just my relationship status. He is a Godly man. He leads the prayer at meals and when we want to pray as a family; him, Rain and myself. He doesn't do things in a selfish manor at all, he really thinks about humility and our future. He has courage to stand up for the Lord and he has several times even when it was up against me wanting to do something and that's how it should be. I don't want to be the one ruining his relationship with the Lord. He brings so much more than money to our relationship. He does help provide for us and Rain. Yes even though we aren't married. The only way we don't act like a married couple is 1) NO SEX AT ALL OF ANY FORM OR FASHION! 2) We still have separate bank accounts 3) we do NOT sleep in the same bed.

Also Vin loves me biblically and extravagantly. He and I have discussed what it means to really commit to one another and we agree that we are ready to take the vows that will bind us forever stating that we will put each other before any other relationship except God. This includes kids, family, friends, boss, etc. But it also means that we can't do things selfishly either. I remind myself when I think of even being the remotely bit selfish that "When you love someone you are really loving God." Do I want to be selfish with God? No way.

But the thing that sticks out the most is that Vin loves God more than he does me. That's the strong part of our relationship. There are Sunday mornings when I just want to lay in the bed and Vin doesn't give into me at all. No matter how much I fuss he refuses. It's wonderful having someone who is truly devoted on God that he wants to make sure my relationship with God doesn't waver either. And with God in our lives the relationship gets stronger and stronger.

One thing is for sure Vin can looked back and say he has been loved.

Review: Heads Up App

credit: iTunes

Like charades? Like the game Taboo? Then Heads Up is for you!

My boss bought the game after several of her friends in her prayer group was talking about playing it with their families. My work family has loved it.

You can play it on your iOS devices and Android devices.

To begin with the game is an interesting twist on trivia game, except instead of having facts thrown at you and you guessing (unless you are the person with the device and the person guessing) you have to throw the facts given a simple phrase or word. The best part is that while you are giving clues there is a camera recording what you say and how you act out the clues. You can't play the game alone which is why this is a great social game!

Ellen DeGeneres has come up with a great game. She has featured it and played it on her show.

They are playing the category called Sidekick where it takes two or more people to give the clues. These are not what you call regular trivia categories its identifying accents, humming music to guess different songs and playing charades like above in the video! There are other activities as well.

When it's your turn to be the one to guess the words on the device hold the device outward so that your friends and family can see the screen and you can't. An answer will appear on the screen and everyone or your certain teammate gives you clues. This is also like the old show called Pyramid. You have 1 minute to guess as many words as you can. You can pass if you have no idea with the clues they are giving you or if they have no clues to give you.

So far Carolina and I have the highest right between anyone of our group but of course we were on the Kid and also the Adult Supervision categories. Not really sure what that says about us.

The thing I love about it is it really gets a whole group of people laughing and joking with each other. Plus, it's a really simple game.

The only bad thing about this app is that it needs somewhere in the app to keep score of teams or just in general. Sure the person could cheat and shake the device to say they got them all right but that's really just hurting themselves.

Some of the other reviews I have read said that getting other category packs were too expensive. I did not find that paying $0.99 for an extra pack was such a big deal.

I hope you keep your heads up for this game! It's become a favorite for us!

Disney Day 7 & 8: Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Leaving

Waking the day after running 13 miles is not easy at all. I wasn't as sore as I expecting. I did, however, sleep later than I normally would on a Disney Day. I pretty sure I slept until 9 AM. And for me that's late for Disney.

I did a few yoga stretches and grabbed my phone. I was surprised that the only one still in the resort room was Vin. I asked him where was everyone else. He told me that Kayleigha, Carolina, and Edwin had taken Rain down to the pool and playground. My mommy mechanics kicked in and I started looking for her little bag and making sure she had it for her hand sanitizer. I made me some My Morning Mate tea and sat down by Vin, who watching the Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Part 1. We had almost fell back asleep when we heard our munchkin come barreling in. She pounced right on me. She told me I had to go get ready so we could go to the parks. I laughed harder than anybody because I remember several times as a child when I would pounce on my dad telling him the same thing.

I showered and dressed and Vin had us shirts made. Mine said Future Mrs. Incredible and his said Mr. Incredible. He insisted that I take my knee braces. I told him to stop worrying about me. My little girl grabbed my hand and we were off. She knows exactly where to find the buses now and since she is learning to read she now knows how to spot the buses.

She was wide awake and full mode of energy. The bus driver acknowledged us both as princesses because I had my hair up in a bow with my running tiara and Rain had on her tiara too. We read the posters that are along the top of the bus. This one was Rain's favorite!

We arrived at Epcot and Edwin scooped up Rain and Vin scooped me up. I huffed but eventually gave in to his need to make sure I didn't hurt myself. Rain was all excited because things had changed since we were at Epcot in December. That is one of the things I love about Disney you can go 4 times a year and each time something is new and/or different.

Rain wanted to ride Nemo first. As we walked Vin managed to get us Fast Passes + for Soarin'.

The line to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy wasn't too bad so we left Kayleigha in line with Rain to meet them while we went to ride Soarin'. I took a few pictures to give you an idea of what Soarin' looks like.

We rode Figment afterwards. This is another one of Rain's favorites. She managed to talk Vin into getting her a stuffed Figment this time. She loves plush animals and dolls.

We headed to the World Showcase afterwards, we pretty much bypassed Canada and headed straight for... United Kingdom! I bought some more McVites Rich Tea Biscuits! We walked along and we had lunch at Japan!

After having lunch of sushi we decided to go to Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day. Which really excited me! We hopped on the monorail. When we got to the Transportation Center we got on the monorail towards Magic Kingdom. Getting off the monorail and walking toward the gates makes my heart pound.

We headed straight to something we had never done before together. The Swiss FamilyTree House. Vin put me on his back since there are over 100 stairs through out the house. We trucked it up all the way. The views from the top are gorgeous of Magic Kingdom.

Again Disney always amazes me with how much detail they put into an attraction. The rooms of the family's has every tiny detail which is truly amazing!

After that we watch the Enchanted Tiki Room. Rain now knows the songs like I do. We rode Aladdin's Magic Carpets after that and Rain and I busted out laughing with we made the carpet go down so that when we passed by the camel is squirted Vinny square in the face.

After we shopped a little bit while we were in Adventure. We made our way into Frontierland and we went into the sweet shop. We bought some take home snacks. After that we rode the Haunted Mansion twice because Rain loves it now.

After riding the Haunted Mansion, we made our way to Fantasyland. Vin wanted to It's a Small World since it was under maintenance when we were there in December. We got there and it was a huge line but we waited anyhow. After riding that we made our way to Space Mountain while Rain rode Astro Orbiter with Carolina.

After that I insisted we go to Sleepy Hollow for a small meal.

I love the Nutella fruit waffle and the Chicken Sandwich waffle from Sleepy Hollow it's always delicious!

The last thing we did before we left Magic Kingdom was ride Stitch's Great Escape. I will only ride this once in a blue moon and it has to be the ABSOLUTE last ride that I ride in Magic Kingdom.

Why, you ask? Because it smells GOD AWFUL. Stitch farts and burps and the smell is literally sprayed into your clothing! It's honestly the worst at Magic Kingdom! Rain didn't even like it because of the smell. While waiting for the bus I even patted myself down with hand santizer to make it not so terrible.

On the bus it was weird, because I knew we were leaving in the morning but a big part of me was ready to leave. I wanted to go home and show the world what I had accomplished! It made leaving not so hard to do.

Upon entering the resort room I made a beeline for the shower. I scrubbed and scrubbed to get that putrid smell off of me. I finally did and I went and crawled in the bed.

I was sending my personal trainer my data from the race and I noticed I ran more than normal half marathon. He was very impressed and proud of me because I pushed myself to do this. It's always a great thing when you have ton of supporters.

I worked on my schedule of blogs and appointments because I was heading back to work almost as soon as I arrive home. The Origins GinZing Eye Cream helped me feel great around my eyes.

May won't be that long in arriving and I will be back at Disney for a solid three months. It really makes leaving easier when you already know when you are returning!

We got up the next morning and went to Magic Kingdom before we left. We rode Carpets of Aladdin and Pirates of the Caribbean. We enjoyed Dole Whip and a hot dog from Casey's Corner. We left Disney World happily content and full. I just love the leaving sign when are driving away from Disney because it always makes me feel better through my tears.
