Game Night - She loves to do puzzles, I love board games. Combining the two over pizza and wine? What's not to love? It's a nice gesture to get back to our childhood selves!
Cooking a six course meal - Learning to cook more and better is something everyone should want to do. Why not have a pile of food with different courses and spend all that time cooking with your best friend and then enjoying the efforts together!?
Bridal Sleepover - Engaged or not bridal magazines are the best. You'll find ideas and you find out things about each other. Even better? Splurge on cake while enjoying the magazines and Pinterest pins and it will feel like a wedding!
Planning a trip together - It's all about the journey, not the destination. Some of the best times are spent planning a trip, rather than the actual trip. Trust me the joy of a trip is better than a trip. But sitting together planning, well everything is just peachy!
Disney night - Go to Walmart buy some kid-like pajamas. Buy all the food you wanted to get as a child. Besties pile up on the couch and binge watch Disney movies. Have even more fun by singing into your hairbrushes when Let it Go or Spoonful of Sugar comes on!
Karaoke night - Who cares how you sound? Belt it out at home, in the car, or a bar! Let loose and just enjoy the sound of your voice and be glad you can sing and hear it!
Seasonal Holiday Fun:
- New Years Eve just have some fun throwing glitter. Make a mess with it. Live it up.
- Valentine's Day single or not can be a lot of fun with your best friend. They know what candy to get and they don't mind watching sappy, romantic movies with you.
- St. Patrick's Day doesn't mean you HAVE to get drunk. I have fun with each other doing green things and trying out some Irish food!
- Easter is hilariously fun when you dye eggs with your best friend and hide them from each other. Plus a visit to church together is nice as well.
- Fourth of July enjoy a BBQ and get a 4th of July mani/pedi!
- Back to School is great for stocking up on office supplies or stationery.
- Halloween can be spent carving pumpkins and watching scary or cutesy Halloween movies.
- Thanksgiving is pretty simple. Stuff goodies full of baked goodies. And what would be really sweet is to do a gratitude list about things we appreciate about each other.
- Christmas there is a plethora of ideas; decorating our own Christmas tree, baking, watching movies, wrapping presents, Christmas shopping, and singing carols.
Planner Time/Journal Together - This sometimes just happen randomly anyways. But you would be amazed at how more connected you feel with your best friend just spending some together time planning or journaling. You don't have to say a word. Plus, swap supplies. It's like shopping without buying.
Wine Tasting - Either buy your own or go some where. I recommend going some where to wine taste. They know how to pair things to go with the wine to get as much out of it as you can. Plus, there is usually a Groupon to enjoy wine tasting.
Hotel Hop Weekend - I love hotels. Why not find some hotels in your area (or some that are not far away) and book one night for each night of the weekend. There is a lot of fun to be had at just messing up a room each night and hopping to the next one to do it all over again. Sleep in too while you are at it!
Sporting Event - I get that there are some girls that just aren't into sports. My best friend is and she really wants to go to an Alabama football game! So yes spend some time at a sporting event cheering on a team!
Pinterest Craft Night - this idea was actually from my best friend. She loves crafting and so do I! I think a night of crafting would be amazing. Plus, going to the craft stores is going to be fun. I'm not sure which of us drags the other one around more!
"Sometimes a BFF makes us go W.T.F., but without them, we’d all be a little less richer in our lives."
"[Jessica and Hunter?] They do besties better than anyone."
