Autumn Tag 2016

It's that time of year where I talk to you about my favorite autumn things! It's FINALLY getting cooler in Alabama, no more 90s! So that is a sign for an autumn post!

🍁 What is your favorite Autumn hobby?

Journaling, planning, walking through leaves, and anything like that.

🍺What is your favorite fall drink? (Alcoholic or non-alcoholic)

Hot tea, apple cidar, pear nectar, and pumpkin juice! I also pick up drinking coffee again because of the flavored coffee.

🌾What is your favorite Autumn scent(s)?
Cinnamon, leaves, cedar, bonfires, pumpkin, apple... Better question is what scents of autumn do I not like?

🍂 Where is your favorite spot in your city/town to watch the leaves change color?

In Alabama it's taking the back roads in Vance, or sneaking away to Fort Payne. But I love North Carolina's Asheville for foliage!

🎃 What are you planning on doing for Halloween?

We are going to Disney World with my family the week before hand then for Halloween Day/Night we are going to be in the mountains for the small town Halloween Fall Festival!

🕸How do you decorate for Autumn/Halloween?

I have decorations everywhere! Bathroom, mudroom, foyer, nothing stands still without being decorated. All of the pictures frames are covered in spider web, pumpkins, and lights everywhere!

🍻 What’s your favorite fall activity to do with a friend or a group or friends?

Football games, hayrides, and big cookout.

🔥Outdoors next to a bonfire or indoors next to a fireplace?

Both... I love them both way too much!

🎩 Are you dressing up for Halloween? If so, what as?

We talked about this just yesterday. We talked about several things and I just keep wanting to let my inner child out and be a witch.

☔️ What is your go-to rainy day outfit?

Comfy pullover, autumnal colors (burgundy, crimson, black, orange, dark green, mustard yellow, brown),

🍪 What is your favorite Autumn dessert?

Brownies or pecan pie!

👻 Do you enjoy the cute or scary side of Halloween? (Or both!)

It's kind of both. I do prefer the more cute though.

💀 Do you like going to haunted houses?

Well not exactly. I like the kiddie version of haunted houses. This mama has finally hit that level. I don't mind haunted houses... I just prefer Haunted Mansions.

🌧Favorite Autumn rainy day activities?
Listen to music, knit, bake, blog, and/or pin

These are my favorite posts to do each year. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! This is my favorite time of year every year! Feel free to do this tag! I choose A Pop of Jess!

Disneyland Paris Weekend Questions Answered

Hello from Paris! I have been here since September 22nd, and I've mostly been at Disneyland Paris Resort. This is my third visit to this Disney park! I've enjoyed a wonderful run weekend again. I was very happy to be apart of history!

How does Disneyland Paris differ in comparison to other Disney parks and how did you enjoy it?

Wow that's really a loaded question. There is a lot of ways it differs from the obvious of English is not the first language you hear. You do hear English eventually and most of the rides have that options. The signage does as well. This is a lot like Disneyland in California. I really enjoyed the differences in the parks.

What are some of the unique foods and items you can see?
First off, they have their own gummies! This is what I am bringing most of my kids as souvenirs. Fried egg gummies what is not to love? They have marshmallow sticks (which I love!) but granted you can find them in the states it is just rare. The had an ice cream bar shaped like a guitar near the Rockin' Roller coaster. Paris is big on coffee in general, and Disneyland Paris is no different! They MAKE the coffee right in front of you and there are a lot of coffee station and Mickey cakes are available! Waffle and crepe stands were also amazing! Cotton candy on stick and flavored popcorn (sweet flavors) were also available! Plus plenty of unique ice cream treats! The food was delicious and I expected nothing different. The only thing I will say is that the hotel restaurants were not prepared for runners to eat AFTER the race. I think perhaps Disney could address this the next time. Staying in the park was the only option.

What are some none Disney related things you highly enjoyed about Paris?

My favorite was visiting a cafe that Hemingway frequented, Les Deux Magots. I was slightly obsessed with Hemingway last year (not his novels but his life.) I also enjoyed seeing a few landmarks. But I stayed close to Disneyland Paris though.

How would you describe your runDisney experience there and how does it differ from any previous runDisney experiences?

There are things they need to work on and things that were fantastic! I love the wave release for corrals. It was a blessing because runners were not tripping over each other like they do in the states. I loved the security for the races. The kid races were a hit. I loved the Half Marathon Again a complaint would be the night before "carb party." It was fun and different, but not what I am used to. And the expo could still be better here. It was very scattered and crammed crazy! But being a part of Disney history made up for everything!

We really did have a fantastic time. The fireworks were probably my favorite thing! My French is no where near fluent, but the melodies were familiar thanks to my Disney love so I still teared up. It was such an incredible display of fireworks! It was almost better than Wishes. My other favorite thing was that it felt like fall and looked like fall! It was honestly amazing to this southern girl! Now to return home to 80 degree weather!

Mini Currents: 9.20.16

Yes today is Tuesday rather than Monday, but I'm not in the states and that's allowed! I'm enjoying London now with it's autumn like weather over here. So instead of not doing a post at all for the beginning of the week. I thought I would share with you today's outfit and about today!

This morning I went for a short run. It was much needed since I have been nursing an ankle from work this past week. It gave me no problems on my 5 mile run this morning so I should be Saturday & Sunday for the big races.

We enjoyed an amazing breakfast with a gorgeous view. It's so amazing that you can come to London so many times and always find something new and exciting to do. Granted some of the same things are done each time I come to London like; Lush visits and a trip to Harrods.

Harrods is where we went to today. I want to one day have tea at Harrods, in their tearoom. I do love that they have a huge Disney store. There is even a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in their Disney store. My Rain loves getting to be treated like a Princess and picking out styles of clothing, hair, and makeup like a princess. She picked Sleeping Beauty this time.

We enjoyed a wonderful tea today at the Diamonds Jubilee. It was something to see the tiers around the room. Afterwards we explored parks which is something that I have never experienced while in London. I fell in love with them all. We went to Daunt Books. Oh I could have gotten lost in there for days. It reminds me of the library in Harry Potter movies.

We enjoyed a lobster dinner, and then it was time for my big surprise! I surprised Frankie with a ticket to see the Phantom of the Opera. He was absolutely over the moon. It was the happiest I have ever seen him. Now we are eating again before heading to bed. Tomorrow should be a slightly more relaxed day.

3 Tips for Mousekeeping

What is Mousekeeping? Mousekeeping is the cleaning staff that takes care of your room while you are out in the parks having fun. They have to go through a lot of training to be able to clean the rooms and a lot of time they do not get the recognition they deserve. There are a few simple tips to make sure that you remember the little people that make your trip easier and cleaner.

Mousekeeping is known for their awesome towel animals or Mickey head towel rings laying on the bed when you enter your room for your stay. But sometimes, it doesn't happen. Do not be discourage, or get upset (I've seriously seen people get furious about this.) Sometimes they run out of time to do cute towels. The reason is sometimes people are in the room, and still want a clean room. Well that takes time. Also leaving a very junky room will result in slowing down the mousekeeping. Tidy up a little before you go to the parks!

There are huge debate on how to tip mousekeeping. Some people tip at the end of the trip in one big sum or some daily. I like to have more fun with it and go with daily tipping. We create cute envelopes and write notes to the mousekeeping. (More interaction with them will result in more pixie dust fun!) We leave ours out daily so whoever cleans the room we know gets the money. We tip $1 per person in the room. Now as a DVC member you only get a few complimentary room cleans, unless you pay daily. I usually pay but I still tip. Now if you pay without DVC, your room is cleaned every day. But towels are always free and delivered to your door after you request them. If you want more ideas on Mousekeeping envelopes look to Pinterest.

At last, but not least. BE KIND! These people are human too. You are not above them because you are on an expensive vacation. They are trying to make your stay nice and clean. It never hurts to get to know them. They have feelings, families, and friends just like you. There is so much more respect earned if you treat them with respect. Plus, you never know but they could be dealing with a lot at home. Just like you and I deal with a lot while we are work thinking about our home life. They are too.

Autumn Movies: Not Spooky, Just Cozy

Already in the fall mood, but not ready for Halloween just yet? I feel like that's my feelings at the moment. I like to get the most out of my autumn weather, and sometimes that requires me to put a halt on spooky Halloween things. Enjoying a good fall movie without Halloween is a treat.

It's not football season for me yet until I watch this film. I watched Remember the Titans on the plane heading to California two weeks ago before the first Alabama football game. There is just something about this film that makes me ready for football. I love the scene where they get pumped up for the first time as a team. The energy from that scene just makes you smile and pumped up yourself. You realize the struggles from back then watching this film.

The struggles back then are some of the same ones we face today even though so much has changed. It's really sad. Though, in the same instance you realize that
there are certain things that draw people together no matter what; sports, religion, love, and death. Remember the Titans makes the season for me, especially for the beginning!

An alternative movie for this is The Blind Side! Tim McGraw, Sandra Bullock, and Nick Saban; all in one film! I love this movie! It's another great football movie! Plus, the fact that both of these movies are based on true stories and have happy endings makes you feel really good.

My aunt introduced me to Baby Boom when I was young. I fell in love with how hilarious it was. It has a touch of romance, but trust me it is a feel good hilarious comedy. Diane Keeton became a favorite actress of mine because of this film! Just her dealing with a child when she never has, all she has ever known is her work.

When they move to the country side is gorgeous! She has a hard time dealing with life in the country, and has serious complications because of the change of life. She finds friends in the country. It is such a wonderful movie and the foilage is amazing in this film!

If you want something that doesn't feel like real life but you aren't ready for pumpkins and vampires, Bedknobs and Broomsticks is the movie for you to watch this fall! Angela Lansbury is a witch in training, in this Disney film set during the World War. She has a lot to learn and she is learning through the mail, a course taught by Emiliuse Browne (David Tomlinson.) She discovers that the school is closing, and it happens around the time that she has children from the city come into her country home because of the war.

There are three children that come to live with her so of course there are fun songs! I really love the last song, it reminds me of Mary Poppins a good bit. It does have a Mary Poppins feel to it in unique ways. So if you are wanting something to watch with the kiddos this is the film!

Another great film is Labyrinth, which again has magical feel but this one is slightly spooky. It used to be one that I wouldn't watch alone as a child. But as I grew up I learned to love it a lot. Who wouldn't love David Bowie and puppets? The songs in this one are great too. My kids love dancing to the music with the songs. And we even have a few costumes that look similar to the costumes found in the movie.

It's really up to the parents if they want to show this to the kids. Mine did and I was slightly scared of it. I did get over it and move on with life. It's my children's favorite for a good movie. They like watching this one in their forts that they build. They squeal and just love it. One my children even said it reminded her of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone movie. (Which feel free to go ahead and watch for a fall movie!)

Ever After really has nothing to do with fall, but it is such a good romantic movie with a cuddle aspect. It's a wonderful spin on the Cinderella story that we all know. It has Drew Barrymore as the main character and she does a tremendous job of portraying Danielle who is the Cinderella character.

She risks everything for what she loves and cherish. This is a wonderful story told in the most exquisite way possible. The costumes in this film will always blow me away. It isn't fluffy princess costume that you normally see. It's true costumes that look heavy like they are real period costumes. That is remarkable.

What's Coming Up In September

So usually you get to hear about where I have been, especially when I'm in a funk. But now, you are about to find out where I'm going! The rest of the month has a lot of potential for me. I hope you enjoy this look at the rest of my month.

My summer job is coming to a close. I have loved this summer for several reason. I have learned about myself in many different ways. I've relaxed like I have needed to do so. My health has become a priority like it should have a long time ago. Now though, it time to pack up everything that I have been moving from Alabama to Florida and back again and again. Everything has to go back to Alabama now. It's very bittersweet. This summer was unexpected but definitely worth risking things over like I did.

Upon on returning back to Alabama this week I'm going to spend some quality time with Vin. Now is the time for me to tell you that his health is starting to dwindle down and it is very scary for all of us. Lupus is going after his organs now. Right now the medicine is holding it at bay and it's mostly attacking his thyroid like it has been doing in the past. However, Vin has started taking the precautions of setting up his final arrangements in case something does happen to him. That's has been very hard on him and me as well. We are working out how we want things to go from here; wedding, honeymoon, babies, and my life without him. I'll discuss this in the future more, but now is not the time.

Since I'll be back in Alabama for a tiny bit, I need to get caught up on my desk job. I need to finish up things for the fiscal year and get all of that turned in before October. I can honestly say I'm dreading this week at my desk because it really seems like it will be a very dull week at work. Nothing exciting is happening at all.

What has me dreading this week the most is my follow up doctor's appointment. It is not the pelvic exam that is bothering me, though it doesn't make me jump for joy, but rather it's the blood taking part that sends me to my knees and makes my eyes roll back. The reason I'm not concerned about the pelvic exam is because I want to know what is going on with me. I just wish I could find out without them taking my blood or anything of that nature. If you want to pray for me on Friday at 11 A.M. central time, I would greatly appreciate it!

The day after brings more Alabama football, and a flight to London! I will be in London for three days before heading to Paris for the rest of next week! I have many fun and exciting things planned for the one traveling with me. Vin is not feeling well enough to travel to London and Paris right now otherwise, he would be coming with me.

Why will I be in Paris? Of course, it is something Disney related. It's the Disneyland Paris Half Marathon! Very exciting for those of us who have already ran a race in the US, we will get a special medal for that! There is going to be so much to do and see in Paris and Disneyland Paris! And I promise I am going to blog about London and Disneyland Paris!

After our trip to Europe when we get home it should be about time for the Southern Women show in Birmingham! Now I'm not guaranteeing that I will be attending this, but I would like to do so. I haven't been in a number of years now, and I used to go a lot. It's a big convention like where there are several different businesses with booths that are willing to show you their products or sell things to you. It's a great time forever one!

October 1st, is homecoming at Alabama. Being an alumni from there is a blessing and a huge achievement for me.  I'm very excited about this homecoming at Alabama, because this year I'll spending it with people I love and my family. In years past I have been away or was only there for a few hours. It was always fun in the past and I am looking forward to sharing these memories with my own children.

So that's what is coming up for me in September. I'm not sure of all the things that are packed into October yet, but just maybe it will be just as rewarding as September looks to be! What are your plans for September?

5 Things To Know If You are Going to MNSSHP

Not into walking dead zombies, scary real like killers on the loose, or crazy walk through haunted houses? Come on down to Disney World for a "not so scary" Halloween Party! Guaranteed to bring on more giggles than screams, but there may be a few ghosts!

First things first, you have heard it doesn't rain at Disney, those people are mistaken! It can even rain on the party, literally. The party that you paid extra money for can infact be rained on. And I will tell you that while Disney World can still be fun in the rain there are some things that are party related that go away. So be prepaarrrrrred: (A nice Lion King touch don't you think?)

  • Take ponchos or be ready to spend $8 on a Disney poncho. I know you are thinking that is outrageous but Disney will replace it for free no matter what trip you bought it on. As long as it is a Disney parks poncho they replace it for free if it rips!
  • Check the weather and by that I mean the radar. Sure that 7 day forecast may show partly cloudy with 40% chain of rain, but I can assure you that those showers make just come during your party.
  • Have two costumes... A elaborate costume, since this is when adults get to dress up. And have a lighter costume or just fun tshirts. Elaborate costumes can get hot fast, and this is Florida. Check out Pinterest for Disbounding ideas where it's regular (cooler) clothing that looks like characters. And that way if it does rain, wear the lighter costume. But hey if you want to wear the elaborate one and be sweating (possibly smelling), be our guest.

Next, CANDY! Disney does Trick or Treating like nobody's business! I have walked away from a party with literally, 20lbs of candy. Just keep going back into the line. Cast members reach into their barrels of candy with two hands and deposit that candy into your bag. Disney gives you a treat bag upon entering the party. However they are a little flimsy and may not withstand your candy treasure finding skills.

That's why I recommend bringing your own bag. Hey it's a lot of fun to make your bag or find a really fun one, online or in a store. Plus you can get characters to sign your bag as a treasured souvenir! And you can get the candy changed into sugar free treats or allergy friendly candy. Simply take your treats to City Hall, and they’ll exchange it. A few healthy treats can also be found at select candy stops.

Speaking of characters, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party means limited Edition characters. Characters that you cannot meet all year throughout the park. And even some of the ones that you can are dressed in their Halloween outfits.

Haunted Mansion even adds extra ghosts and lots of fog as you enter the line for the doombuggy guided tour. There is songs geared to smaller children playing in Fantasyland. And the Boo To You parade features amazing dancers, rare characters, and the Headless Horseman!

While you spend a lot of money on the tickets, be prepared to spend more. The limited edition merchandise is always promising! Some of the things only come out during the party while others are accessible during the day and other places with a Halloween/Fall feeling.

Even the food and food places decorate for Halloween and fall. I promise it is something that you do not want to miss out on if you are going! Nothing is more fun to eat than a Mickey shaped pumpkin candy apple!

No firework show comes close to how Disney does fireworks or just shows in general. And HallOWishes is the Halloween Party fireworks display! There are all sorts of villains and their songs. Large fireworks are exploding to music and displaying how Disney can make wishes come true and they are larger than life.

The shows are fantastic during the party as well. Different stage show takes over throughout the night with a good fun spooky theming. They are easy to follow along and sing if you know your Disney music.

Personally, I really recommend the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It's a lot of fun for the whole family. It creates a lot of memories. Have you ever been to the MNSSHP? Have you been to the MVMCP? Let me know!

Autumn Essentials

It's that time of year where you can hear the distinct voice of Eli Gold saying "Touchdown Alabama!" Where Pumpkin Spice is found in all foods for a limited time. And there is a rush to go to Bath and Body Works for candles that will have houses glowing and smelling like autumn in no time.

Two years ago I did a post of Fall Necessities, and it's still one of my favorite posts to date. For me there is nothing more exciting and fascinating than the autumn months. I probably will always associate learning with this time of the year which helps enrich this time of year for me. This year I'm adding to the other list just a few things from clothing to food.

First thing on my list this year is beanies or toboggans. I used to wear these all the time in my senior year of high school. Now it's just easy for me to pull one down on my head and go with it. I really like wearing them around the house because I keep it so cold in the house and when my hair is down my head can sometimes get cold.

It's fun to wear them out in public even when hot to just because I like beanies with fun sayings or graphics. I like them made out of all materials as well. Running is another time when I like to wear them. I have found some in the past with a hole in the back for a ponytail. Those are the ones that I really like for running. I just like beanies again.

When I was little the smell of cinnamon and apple made me think of autumn. My mom loved those twig brooms that were covered in cinnamon. Apples were a staple to me then and they are staple to me now. They have so many uses to them besides just eating!

I love eating apples though. A warm apple pie topped with homemade vanilla bean ice cream is amazing to have after a hard day. Just a plain apple for a snack is delicious to me. I love the sound of the skin breaking on an apple as you bite into it. And the heavenly taste and smell of apple cider with apple bread is a feat that cannot be beat.

As a family, apple picking is something to look forward to every year. A bushel of apples is a beautiful sight when you have picked them yourself and knowing that you are going to make fabulous things with the apples. You can make art projects, apple butter, caramel apples, candied apples, and even tell a story or two!

It wasn't until a few years ago I really got into cheese plates. Before then, the only cheese, cracker, and meat plates/board I knew of was a Lunchable. But that's not very creative or mature for a person that is edging toward her 30s. I enjoy a slew of cheeses now, and I rather enjoy learning how to properly pair those cheese with meats, wines, and fruits. That's what I love about them is the many different combinations of cheeses and sorts.

Autumn isn't the only time for cheese plates. Cheese plates can be enjoyed any time of the year, but I like the idea of having a cheese board available to snack on throughout the day. Another idea I love is enjoying an autumn cheese plate while on an autumn picnic while enjoying the fall foliage.

Quilted Vests has become a fashion staple for me in fall. I like having different colored ones so that I can pair them with any long sleeve blouse. They just feel so comfortable without having to put on a jacket or hoodie. I prefer to wear them during the day than just at night.

Many people wonder why just wearing a vest is sufficient though... and I have to agree I didn't understand myself at first. But this give mobility and helps just to add a layer without adding bulk. I'm not saying if it ever snows that I'm just going to wear a vest and be done. But if I'm outside during the cooler nights and I really don't need a jacket and I need to move my arms a vest is what I will wear. Or even if I just have to run out somewhere a jacket can be a nuisance in the vehicle.

Sure the sound of crunch, crunch of the leaves are a wonderful sound, but there are many others that can be heard during this time. I prefer Bing Crosby, and not his Christmas music, but his many other artfully done songs. My headphones turn this chaotic world and life into a beautiful musical. So many genres and so many talented artists.

Listening to music or even an audio book during an autumn rain storm is beautiful. There is nothing like curling up and enjoying the sounds of something amazing through your headphones as you are transported wherever you want to be transported. To me, curling up at my grandmother's house with a mug of soup, and listening to Bing Crosby croon out the lyrics; "The falling leaves drift by the window, the falling leaves of red and gold."

Lipsticks in the cooler months are so amazing to play around with to change up the color. I don't like neon or coral lip colors, and that's what I have to wear in the spring unless I want to wear a nude color lipstick. To me I hate that because to me makeup is about enhancing not covering up your beauty.

Deep reds, black, burgundy, purple and several others is what I wear during the cooler months. There is something about wearing a purple lip that just gives me this powerful feeling because it is so different than anything else. Or how mysterious it feels wearing a black lipstick can give you a feeling like you are doing something so different. And wearing a bold red lip has always been in style.

Although, cookies are wonderful all year round there is nothing like fresh baked cookies when the wind is blowing and windows are starting to rattle from the wind. Cookies can calm the soul, just by warming them up and sniffing without ever taking a bite-- that's a fact! Cookies are huge at bake sales and with the arrival of fall, it's bake sale season!

There are all kinds of different kinds of cookies, and different ways to make cookies. I'm old fashion, and I don't suffer from anything that requires me to eat gluten free, fat free, or anything of that nature. I just enjoy delicious cookies and sometimes I even enjoy them with real buttercream frosting on them! If you are going to make cookies, make them right!

And if you don't like working from a homemade recipes of cookies there are plenty of different options. I enjoy slice and bake cookies. Pepperidge Farm Pumpkin Cheesecake cookies are a delectable. But my favorite cookies of the autumn season? Halloween Oreos! What do they put in them to make them the best?

Recently, I started to get into the fading trend of skater dresses and skater skirts. I just know that in the past I was only just okay with them and would only wear them here and there. Now... I wear them all the time! I cannot believe I waited so long to get on this band wagon of skater dresses!

Now there are many ways to dress up or down a skater dress and skirt. Different patterns, styles, and fabrics all lead to many combinations with sweaters, jackets, blouses and footwear. The possibilities are endless with this fashion of a skater dress.

If you are going to take me up on wearing the skater dress, I would make sure to have some fleece tights or some kind of tights to keep your legs from getting really chilly in the autumn breeze. There are several different kind of tights nowadays. You can get many different ones with patters of all sorts of things on them, or even sparkly ones.

And the weather is getting more dry by the day, and that means that you skin can become very parched. Mine skin has already started becoming more and more dry. Thank goodness for lotion! I know some people do not like Bath and Body Works lotion, I'm not one of those people. I adore the scents they have, you cannot make some of those scents with essential oils, no matter how hard you try.

Though I do love a good body scrub and body butter to help aid the lotion from time to time. My favorite for the last two years is Dionis Spiced Pumpkin Hand Cream. This lotion smells like fall in a bottle. I get compliments on it's smell all the time. People ask me what it is all the time when I wear it. Some have even told me that that they want to eat me.

Drip, drop, squeak, squeak... The sound of rain in the fall with Hunter Boots on! I love Hunter Boots, simply because of their name. I'm really kidding. I love them because they are cute and functional. There is nothing like a good pair of wellies, or Wellington boots to keep your feet dry on a cold, damp day.

Being the mom that I am, even I enjoy a good rain puddle and these are perfect. So many people I know don't like to get them wet. That is the whole purpose is to get them wet. So why not live a little while wearing them, and using them to their full potential.

Last time I mentioned leggings and trust me I still adore leggings. I doubt there will come a time when I go back to wearing anything but leggings some days. However, I make sure to wear oversized sweaters/shirts or tunic shirts. These kinds of shirts have really changed my life. Some of my favorite ones are from Modcloth; Simplicity on a Saturday.

Saying that I adore these tops is understatement. I am obsessed with them. They are so easy to wear around and layer that is is ridiculous. There are tunics that you can't layer well because of the style but these you can. I recommend these tops to anyone who lives in leggings and wants to feel like they are wearing a tshirt to work when you actually dressed up!

Between coffee shop stops, football games, and bonfire parties you need something simple to hold essentials in and something that doesn't take up space. I prefer a wristlet most of the year while I'm on the go, but during autumn it's even more so. Mostly the reason I do that is because my purses are all huge. I don't even envy the people with a small purse because it just looks puny to me.

However, with a wristlet you can get by with a lot of things. There are so many options for a wristlet today. From knock offs to Kate Spade, Dooney & Burke, and Bendell just to name a few that are awesome wristlets. I like one that can hold my phone, money/cards, and a think of lip balm and gloss. That's it.

Soups, chilis, and chowders made straight from the steaming Crock-pot on a blustery day is like heaven. While I do enjoying using the Crock-pot during the hotter months so that I don't have to turn on the oven, there is something to using it during the cooler months to enjoy the smell of something savory in the little electric pot steaming the contents inside. I like to really get creative when making things during the fall, like recipes for tailgating or bonfire nights.

My Crock-pot has even been known to make a dessert or two in the past. Like mulled apple cider or hot chocolate has even been produced during autumn and winter at my house. There are so many different recipes to discover on Pinterest to help you find the perfect Crock-pot meal. You can even visit 365 Days of Slow Cooking, which you guessed it has daily recipes and over 365 recipes.

I am so glad that is fixing to be fall and that hints of fall are already in the air. Football season has started and the stores have out Halloween decorations. I am munching on candy corn as I finish writing this up. Autumn is upon us once again!

What are some of the things that remind you autumn? Do you have anything that you would add?
