In the afternoon the call came that she didn't have much longer. I still opted not to go. The woman in that bed, I now know looked nothing like my Mewmaw. The lady in that bed was fragile and frail. Neither of which my Mewmaw was during her life. She passed away peacefully taking her last breath surrounded by her family at a beautiful and caring hospice.
We had her a part of the family for 90 years as she was my great grandmother. She loved to cook, sew, and sing. She didn't travel to many places but she did travel to Disney World and the mountains a good bit. She is already missed greatly.

She will truly be missed. I pray for you and your family all the time. I wish I could have gotten the chance to meet her, but I feel like I did know her through the way you and Carolina talk about her.
ReplyDeleteShe was extraordinary woman.
