Frollo is conflicted over his intense hatred of gypsies and his growing lustful obsession over the gypsy dancer Esmeralda. This song is so dark talking about how she will either be his or she will burn. When I was a kid I was obsessed with this song. To this day I can get so hung up on singing it.
